About the Role
The Equity Trading Support Analyst provides front-line trading application support for our Institutional Equity Trading desk, working closely with sales traders, principal traders, program traders, and the electronic desk. This role partners across Baird, including Risk, Compliance, Regulatory, and Operations, to deliver reliable and effective trading technology solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and demonstrates strong problem-solving, prioritization, and communication skills.
The Impact You'll Make
  • Provide real-time support for critical equity trading systems and desks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, quickly diagnosing and resolving issues impacting trading workflows
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on trading systems, client and street connectivity, messaging platforms, IOIs/ATs, and end-to-end trade workflows, including access and entitlement controls
  • Proactively partner with traders to maintain and continuously improve service levels, delivering clear status updates to management and key stakeholders
  • Support system upgrades and enhancements, including UAT testing and collaboration with product owners and vendors to define and prioritize improvements

What You'll Bring to Baird
  • Bachelor's degree required; Computer Science or MIS preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial services or an IT support role preferred
  • Understanding of FIX protocol, including FIX log evaluation and connectivity management preferred
  • Ability to perform under peak workloads while managing frequent interruptions in a high-intensity environment
  • Experience handling highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information to audiences of varying expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively across teams
  • Superior problem-solving skills with the ability to identify creative solutions to complex business challenges
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, critical thinking, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to grow and succeed in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Securities licenses Series 7, 63, and 55 required or willingness to obtain

Compensation and Benefits:
  • $70,000 -$80,000 annual base salary range
