Our impressive portfolio includes nearly 50 million square feet of medical outpatient buildings, lab and life science facilities and Senior Assisted Living centers throughout the country.
Position Overview
The Investments Analyst will be a part of Healthpeak's Investments Team that is responsible for the evaluation of all investment opportunities across the organization. Analysts will gain extensive healthcare and real estate experience, primarily in the Senior Housing, Life Sciences and Outpatient Medical asset classes. Analysts are an integral part of lean deal teams, and have an opportunity to work closely with senior investment professionals involved in all facets of deal execution. Responsibilities may include:
  • Preparing and synthesizing in-depth financial, property/portfolio and market analysis about companies and assets across healthcare and adjacent industries
  • Developing a proficiency in various analyses that will include Net Present Value, Discounted Cash Flow and Accretion / Dilution, Internal Rate of Returns, and distribution waterfall structures
  • Participating in full deal execution and actively engaging with both internal and external stakeholders through structuring, on-site due diligence, underwriting and closing processes
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentation materials to be presented to the Investment Committee and Board of Directors
  • Developing and maintaining reporting database, market data, precedent transactions and other important team infrastructure tools
  • Developing an expert proficiency in programs such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ARGUS Enterprise
  • Providing support to cross functional teams as needed
Position Requirements
All prospective Investment Analyst candidates should:
  • Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university. A major, concentration or coursework in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics or Accounting (or similar) is preferred but not required
  • Zero to four years of experience in commercial real estate, private equity, investment banking, or corporate finance. Experience in health care real estate a plus
  • Have excellent academic achievement
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in real estate and making investment decisions
  • Have previous work or internship experience
  • Be a highly motivated, high energy, self-starter with an impeccable attitude and vision for results
  • Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enjoy working through complex problems and identifying solutions
  • Be able to demonstrate teamwork, leadership and the ability to handle a range of responsibilities
  • Produce a thoughtful and insightful work product with high professional standards and quality
  • Be willing to travel (less than 10% of the time)
  • Offering $105k - $115k base with generous cash incentives
