About the Department

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Senior Equity Research Analyst to cover the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. The ideal Analyst will have 8 to 12 years of related experience as a Senior Equity Research Analyst in fundamental analysis covering the biopharma sectors, will be a creative thinker, and have direct experience making price-based investment recommendations as a trusted partner in the equity investment process.

We will consider candidates with a variety of backgrounds such as institutional portfolio management and hedge funds. This position will be based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Templeton is part of Franklin Templeton and a leading global investment organization with a rigorous valuation methodology and a singular culture, philosophy, and process.

How you will add value:

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently identify and evaluate profitable investment opportunities amongst listed in the US and broader Americas.

  • Conduct thorough fundamental analysis of a company's business and financial position, including cash flow analysis, balance sheet and income statement evaluations, and draw insightful conclusions.

  • Communicate and advocate for investment opportunities verbally and through written research reports.

  • Contribution to relevant equity portfolios as a team member

What will help you be successful in this role?

  • 8-12 years of fundamental equity research experience covering the biotech and pharmaceutical sectorsas an equity analyst.

  • Strong numeric, analytical and investment skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong investment performance track record

  • Bachelor's degree and CFA required. MBA preferred.

  • Buy-Side Equity Research experience with similar coverage.
