GOODLIFEKIDSFOUNDATION - MOVE COACH

MOVE by GoodLife Kids

GoodLife Kids Foundation(GLKF) enables and supports kids and youth with autism and intellectual disabilities through physical activity and fitness. Our vision is that all kids and youth with autism and intellectual disabilities experience the joys and benefits of being active.

The MOVE by GoodLife Kids program is afreephysical activity and fitness program for youth ages 12 - 21 years with autism and intellectual disabilities.MOVE by GoodLife Kids Program class runs In Person andVirtually acrossCanada up to three times per week. MOVE Classes incorporate social time, workouts, dancing, and mental wellness.

This posting is for an in-person class launching in October 2026, that will be delivered at a GoodLife Fitness Club.

What is a MOVE Coach?

EachMOVE Coachis responsible forcoaching and delivering exceptional fitness programming for the MOVE by GoodLife Kids program, through adaptive and progressive workouts.

Youwillplay an importantrolehelpingwith the continued development of this national program. You will provide input and recommendations as to what works for your Participants and try out recommendations from the rest of the coaching team.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead and deliver an exceptional fitness program for youth with autism and intellectual disabilities through coaching,instructionand facilitation to ensure a positive and impactful experience for all.

  • Collaborating with other MOVE Coachesand Supervisorswhen discovering best practices.

  • Create and develop workout plans that meet programming guidelines of MOVE by GoodLife Kidstosupport the needs of the Participants.

  • Build andmaintainpositive relationships withMOVEParticipants and our Community Partners.

  • RespondtoMOVE Participants andCaregiverfeedbackand concerns.

  • This rolewillprimarilyleadin-person classes with the opportunity to be involved with our virtual programming as needed.

  • Represent GoodLife Kids Foundation in a professional, positive, caring, and friendly manner

Do youhavewhat it takes?

  • Passion for working with youth with disabilities.

  • Experiencedelivering fitness classes.

  • Able to deliver in-person classes

  • Reliable transportation.

  • Must have or being willing to obtain a current nationally recognized Group Fitness /Coaching certification such as Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS)/Personal Training Specialist (PTS).

  • Must have a current CPR-A certification.

  • Ability toestablishand maintain professional working relationships withParticipants and MOVE Community Partners.

  • Access toreliableinternet connectionthat supports uninterrupted video conferencing.

  • A proactive, flexible, and adaptable mindset

Compensation:

The selected candidate will start at a base wage of $35.00 for their class hours. In addition, there will be further hours for administration at a base wage of $17.60. The expected annual total compensation is $5,700 determined by the expected total number of scheduled hours per year.
