Description

C.T. Male Associates, an employee-owned, multi-discipline engineering, surveying, and architectural firm based in the Capital Region, is seeking a motivated Environmental Scientist to join our Latham, NY office.

Be Involved in Projects That Shape Communities

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of environmental projects across New York State and the Northeast, combining field work and technical analysis to support site assessments, permitting, and environmental investigations from start to finish.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Perform environmental surveys and technical data research.
  • Engage in subsurface investigations by conducting soil, groundwater, and other media sampling.
  • Interpret laboratory and field data to prepare reports, maps, and various permit applications.
  • Coordinate and observe subcontractors to conduct environmental investigations and collection of environmental media.
  • Perform field operations using electronic data collection devices and geospatial applications.
  • Conduct long-term monitoring at various state and federal environmental program sites.
  • Conduct research on environmental regulations and site history.
  • Delegating to and mentoring early-career staff.

Pay Range: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.


Requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geosciences, Geology, or related degree.
  • Five to ten (5-10) years of related experience.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations and ASTM standards.
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS Field Maps, EQuIS, and EarthSoft environmental data management software preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license.
