The Chas. E. Phipps Co. is looking for CDL-B Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our team! We are a family-owned company in Cleveland, OH.

Phipps distributes concrete accessories, concrete repair materials, sealants, and coatings to contractors so they can build or repair industrial and commercial buildings, infrastructure, concrete wearing surfaces, or the building envelope.
Job Description
The Driver/Warehouse Associate's main responsibilities include delivery of material and equipment between warehouses and delivery material and equipment to customer facilities and jobsites as well as assisting in the warehouse when not on deliveries. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Deliveries
  • Safely deliver materials and equipment to customer locations and jobsites
  • Load, unload, and transfer materials between company warehouses
  • Perform daily truck inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
  • Operate trucks and cranes safely and professionally
  • Assist with onsite setup of rental equipment when needed
  • Follow all delivery instructions and DOT requirements

Warehouse Operations
  • Pick, package, and prepare customer orders accurately
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify against packing slips and purchase orders
  • Stock shelves and organize warehouse inventory
  • Rotate inventory and monitor shelf-life-sensitive products
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely
  • Notify management of inventory shortages or discrepancies
  • Maintain warehouse/building cleanliness and organization

Customer Service
  • Create a positive customer experience during deliveries and warehouse interactions
  • Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from work
  • Physical Requirements lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Class "B" CDL required. Hazmat and tankers endorsement, preferred. If hazmat and tanker endorsements are needed, candidate must be willing to obtain the endorsements within one year.

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Excavating, Building Material, Construction Drivers, Race Track Employees, Public Employees, Manufacturing, Processing, Assembling and Installer Employees, Local Union No. 436.
