Job Summary

The Equipment Manager is responsible for ordering and maintaining equipment in the field used by the crew to complete a job. This position supports the Field team and works with personnel in various departments.


Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain the fleet of vehicles and equipment.
  • Keep up with DOT requirements regarding dielectric testing and IFTA stickers, changing equipment out as needed.
  • Complete tag and title work.
  • Take calls related to equipment problems in the field and prioritize jobs to dispatch mechanics to the jobsite to fix them.
  • Collect quotes, gain approvals, and order equipment when needed.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • 3 years of equipment operator or maintenance experience.

Preferred

  • 4 or more years of equipment operator or maintenance experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of fleet maintenance and repair.

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.  

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is primarily sedentary, with some filing or lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
