Job Description
EPS Corporation is seeking a motivated and dedicated seeking a skilled and dependable Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints, fabricating metal components, and performing high-quality welding to meet project specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal materials according to specifications.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, grinders, drill presses, plasma cutters, and press brakes.
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Repair or modify existing metal structures and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials when necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of welding and fabrication experience (or equivalent training).
  • Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG and Stick welding experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong measuring and layout skills.
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and shop equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent).
  • Experience with structural steel, custom fabrication, or heavy equipment repair.
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stand, bend, kneel, and lift materials throughout the workday.
  • Work in varying temperatures and industrial environments.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmet, gloves, eye protection, and steel-toed boots.
