Working on a swing shift from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., you will perform paint preparation, material handling, and general production tasks to ensure high-quality coated components are ready for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare metal surfaces for coating by using power grinders and sanders to remove rust, scale, weld splatter, and other surface imperfections.
  • Hang parts on racks and position large items on carts or fixtures to stage them for painting and drying.
  • Move prepared items to designated drying areas and organize parts for further painting or assembly.
  • Wash components and carefully mask areas that must not be painted to ensure clean lines and proper coverage.
  • Mix polyurethane and epoxy coating materials with reducers, thinners, and hardeners to the correct ratios, following established guidelines.
  • Assist with paint cleanup activities, including cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Perform general labor duties such as material handling, sanding, and parts prepping to support the paint department and overall production workflow.

  • Proficiency with grinding operations to prepare and finish metal surfaces.
  • Ability to perform sanding, masking, and general labor tasks in support of paint preparation.
  • Comfort working with polyurethane and epoxy coating materials and following mixing instructions.

You will work around fabricated metal components, paint booths, and prep areas, using hand tools, power tools, grinders, and sanders on a regular basis. The position follows a swing shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with a shift differential for evening hours.
