Job description

Colorful Concrete Solutions (CCS) is seeking an experienced Installation Technician to join our growing concrete coatings team. We're looking for professionals who already understand the demands of surface preparation, coating application, and delivering exceptional finished products.

Position Summary

The Installation Technician is responsible for all aspects of concrete coating installation, including surface preparation, crack repair, coating application, equipment maintenance, and job site management. Successful candidates are skilled tradespeople who work efficiently, maintain high quality standards, and contribute positively to team culture and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

Concrete Surface Preparation

  • Perform concrete grinding, shot blasting, crack repair, edge work, and moisture assessments
  • Evaluate substrate conditions and identify issues that may impact coating performance
  • Prepare surfaces according to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards
  • Operate grinders, vacuums, and other specialized surface preparation equipment safely and efficiently

Coating Installation

  • Install epoxy, polyaspartic, polyurea, polyurethane, and decorative coating systems
  • Accurately mix and apply coating materials according to manufacturer specifications
  • Apply base coats, decorative flakes, metallic pigments, and topcoats with precision
  • Monitor environmental conditions and material performance throughout installation
  • Ensure all projects meet CCS quality and appearance standards

Equipment & Job Site Management

  • Prepare trucks, trailers, tools, and materials for daily installations
  • Maintain equipment in clean, safe, and operational condition
  • Manage material inventory and communicate supply needs proactively
  • Maintain organized and professional job sites from setup through completion

Quality Control

  • Conduct final inspections and identify any touch-ups or corrections required
  • Ensure completed projects meet company standards before customer walkthroughs
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and provide solutions in the field
  • Support continuous improvement of installation processes and best practices

Customer Experience

  • Interact professionally with homeowners, business owners, and project stakeholders
  • Communicate project expectations, progress, and completion details clearly

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience installing concrete coating systems
  • Hands-on experience with epoxy, polyaspartic, polyurea, or polyurethane flooring systems

  • Experience operating grinders, industrial vacuums, and coating application equipment
  • Ability to read product specifications and follow manufacturer installation requirements
