Job description

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist who has completed a fellowship to become part of our established Heart & Vascular team, which is affiliated with the hospital. Our team includes a diverse group of professionals, such as Yousef Kaid, MD, Matt Watson, DO, Tarun Nagrani, MD, Jay Hamze, MD, Marion Hochstetler, MD, Jeremiah Martin, MD, Joe Herrmann, DO, along with several Nurse Practitioners.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

  • Option #1: A base salary of $590,985, which aligns with the 50th percentile of MGMA for recent graduates, with additional compensation based on experience, guaranteed for two years. This can transition to a wRVU production contract once targets are surpassed.
  • Option #2: A base salary of $724,177, reflecting the 75th percentile of MGMA, guaranteed for the first year, after which it will shift to a wRVU production contract.

* A 5% reduction applies for those who are not yet board certified, with salary adjustments made upon certification.

Contract Details:

  • Vacation: 29 days of paid time off (PTO), with an additional 5 days of PTO available upon achieving 75th percentile wRVUs.
  • CME/Books & Journals: 5 days of PTO and up to $5,000 for continuing education.
  • Deferred Compensation: Participation in a 457b plan, allowing deferral of up to $23,000 annually before taxes, with no matching contributions.
  • Retirement/Savings Plan: A 403b plan that permits deferral of up to $23,000 annually before taxes for those under 50, and $30,500 for those over 50, with a dollar-for-dollar match up to 2% of base salary.
  • Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 provided for moving expenses.
  • Malpractice Insurance: Coverage under a claims-made policy with limits of $2,000,000 per claim and $6,000,000 aggregate.
  • Health Insurance: A small premium deducted from paychecks.
  • Liquidated Damages: A non-compete clause of 70 miles for 2 years, or liquidated damages equivalent to one year’s salary.
  • CERP (Pay for Call) Program: Details to be provided by the VP of Finance.
  • Bonus Opportunities: Potential bonuses up to 10% of salary.
  • Medical School Loan Repayment: Up to $200,000 available ($25,000 per year for each year of service commitment).
  • Residency Stipend: Up to $25,000, contingent on a service commitment of up to 2 years.
  • Sign-On Bonus: 15% of base salary, capped at $100,000, payable upon signing the contract and forgiven over 2-4 years.

PRACTICE INFORMATION:

  • Location: The outpatient clinic is situated on the main campus of the hospital at Suite 206, Braunlin Building, Portsmouth, OH 45662.
  • Office Hours: Monday to Thursday from 7 AM to 6 PM, and Friday from 7 AM to 12 PM.
  • Staff Composition: The practice includes 7 physicians (Interventional, Non-Invasive, CT Surgery, Vascular Surgery), 6 advanced practitioners, 11 Medical Office Assistants, 2 EKG technicians, 15 LPNs, 5 CMAs, 3 surgery schedulers, and 2 surgery assistants.
  • Call Schedule: A rotation of 1:3 for weekends and 1 night per week, with opportunities for additional compensation through the CERP program.
  • Case Load: Outpatient clinic averages 10 patients per day, inpatient load varies based on hospital census, and procedures range from 4 to 6 per day.
  • Equipment: Includes Phillips IECG, Welch Allyn EKG, Geneva Remote Monitoring, various device interrogators/programmers, Philips EPIQ Ultrasound System, and Philips ST80i Stress Testing System.
