Epic Ambulatory Analyst (Contract)Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epic Ambulatory Analyst to support a dynamic healthcare organization undergoing continued growth and transformation. This consultant will play a key role in supporting Epic Ambulatory initiatives, including Community Connect programs, mergers and acquisitions activities, operational support, and optimization efforts. The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, thrives in fast-paced environments, and can quickly integrate into established teams while delivering immediate value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Epic Ambulatory application build, optimization, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Participate in Community Connect implementations and ongoing support initiatives.
  • Assist with Epic integration efforts related to mergers, acquisitions, and organizational growth.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Perform system configuration, workflow analysis, testing, validation, and go-live support.
  • Evaluate and prioritize requests while adapting to shifting project and operational demands.
  • Analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Support end-user adoption through documentation, training, and knowledge transfer.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and Epic best practice recommendations.
  • Partner with project teams and leadership to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Epic Ambulatory certification and hands-on analyst experience.
  • Proven experience supporting Community Connect environments and/or mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities.
  • Ability to manage both operational support and project-based build activities.
  • Strong understanding of ambulatory clinic workflows and Epic system design.
  • Previous healthcare IT consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new environments and work effectively with minimal ramp-up time.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Epic Orders build, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Additional Epic certifications are a plus.
  • Experience supporting large health systems, physician groups, or multi-site ambulatory organizations.
  • Prior experience participating in Epic upgrades, implementations, or optimization initiatives.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $90.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
