Job description

A healthcare facility in Springfield, MO is seeking four pharmacists to support its central pharmacy operations on various shifts. This opportunity offers a 13-week contract with a strong possibility of extension, presenting an excellent chance for pharmacists with at least one year of experience as well as new graduates. Missouri Pharmacist licensure is required.
Shifts available include:

  • One 1st shift position (10-hour shifts, 7 days on/7 days off)
  • Two 2nd shift positions (10-hour shifts, 7 days on/7 days off)
  • One 3rd shift position (nights, 7 days on/7 days off)

The pharmacist will coordinate workflow centrally, ensuring medication products are accurately checked and code carts are properly restocked. This role involves overseeing the pharmacy technicians' workflow and occasionally redirecting tasks but does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.

  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system
  • Ability to coordinate pharmacy workflow and verify medication products
  • Experience working collaboratively with pharmacy technicians

This position is contract-based and ideal for pharmacists seeking meaningful experience within a hospital central pharmacy environment. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced settings and can manage product verification with accuracy are encouraged to apply.
