BlueSky Telepsych Counseling Center is a multi-specialty provider practice dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of our community in Everett, Washington. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality mental health services, including a comprehensive approach to weight management. As a community health clinic, we integrate services within a framework that includes a Level III Trauma Center, reinforcing our commitment to providing superior treatment options for the diverse needs of the individuals we serve.

This position is entirely remote, enabling our counselors to work flexibly while still contributing to a team-oriented healthcare environment. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, allowing for a focused work-life balance. Counselors are expected to work a minimum of 32 to 36 hours per week, and there are no on-call obligations, ensuring that you can devote your energy to your patients.

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health to identify emotional, psychological, and behavioral factors related to their weight management challenges.
• Administer standardized assessment tools to evaluate mental health concerns and help guide treatment planning.
• Facilitate individual counseling sessions with patients dealing with obesity and binge eating to address underlying emotional issues, behavioral patterns, and psychological aspects affecting their progress.
• Design tailored treatment programs that reflect each patient's unique goals, preferences, and needs.
• Educate patients on the psychological implications of weight control, including elements such as body image, self-esteem, stress management, and the development of coping strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness techniques to foster long-lasting changes in behavior.
• Lead or co-facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on weight management, providing a supportive environment where patients can share experiences and receive guidance.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, dietitians, and physical therapists, to deliver holistic care to patients.
• Regularly assess and document patient progress toward their mental health and weight management goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize care.
• Maintain comprehensive electronic medical records (EMR) using EPIC software, recording counseling sessions, treatment plans, and follow-up notes accurately.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mental health counseling and weight management, continuously enhancing your professional skill set.
• Engage in teaching opportunities by sharing your knowledge with team members or students when applicable.
• Uphold the highest ethical standards in patient care, ensuring confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
• Actively contribute to a cooperative team dynamic by participating in meetings and case discussions, helping to foster a vibrant and supportive work culture.

The ideal candidate will work closely with patients experiencing obesity and binge eating disorders. By addressing the psychological factors that contribute to unhealthy eating habits, you will play a crucial role in guiding patients toward healthier lifestyles and improved mental well-being. • A Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.
• An unrestricted LMHC license to practice in the state of Washington is necessary.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills are essential for effective patient interactions and collaboration with team members.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 15 lbs and to maintain specific vision-related tasks.

• Experience in weight management or eating disorder counseling will be highly regarded.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records and other counseling tools.
• Exposure to evidence-based therapeutic methodologies in a diverse clinical setting.

BlueSky Telepsych Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually.
