Shift/Schedule: 7-7 AM or PM RN

Position Requirements
  • At least 2 years Med/Surg experience required.
  • Epic experience required.
  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Assists physicians with examinations, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care.
  • Administers and controls narcotics and medication as ordered by physician.
  • Administers blood products, IV medications and TPN.
  • Provides health care instruction/education to patient and family members.
  • Maintains patient records and charts to ensure an accurate record of the patient's medical treatment via EMR.
  • Participates in the planning and implementation of the patient's care.
  • Ensures that patient is ready for discharge.
  • Explains medications in criteria. Ensures that patients understand post-operative instructions.
  • Checks identification of patient, including surgical permit, lab work, x-ray reports, and allergies.
  • Reports any change in physical status of patient.
  • Responds quickly in any circumstance and cares for patients professionally and courteously.
