Epic Application Analyst - Resolute HB/PB

Location: Remote (must reside within VA, NC, SC, PA, TX, FL, NM, MD to be considered)

Duration: 90-120 Day Contract

Schedule: Standard Business Hours

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epic Application Analyst with expertise in Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) and/or Professional Billing (PB) to support a large-scale Epic upgrade initiative. This consultant will play a key role in evaluating release content, implementing system changes, conducting testing, and supporting deployment activities across Revenue Cycle operations. The ideal candidate has strong Epic upgrade experience, a deep understanding of billing workflows, and the ability to quickly learn existing system configurations while working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review Epic Nova Notes and release documentation across multiple Epic version upgrades.
  • Identify regulatory, required, and workflow-related system changes.
  • Analyze existing Epic build configurations and operational workflows.
  • Design, build, configure, and implement required enhancements.
  • Perform testing and validation in non-production environments.
  • Conduct end-to-end workflow and integrated testing.
  • Support upgrade deployment and go-live activities.
  • Document build changes, testing results, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle leaders, operational stakeholders, analysts, and Epic SMEs.
  • Support multiple upgrade workstreams simultaneously while maintaining project timelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Epic Resolute Certification (HB and/or PB).
  • 3+ years of Epic Application Analyst experience.
  • Experience supporting Epic upgrades and release implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of Epic Hospital Billing (HB) workflows.
  • Experience with Professional Billing (PB) workflows preferred.
  • Experience analyzing release notes and translating requirements into system build.
  • Revenue Cycle operations knowledge.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and testing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up.
What You'll Be Working On
  • Large-scale Epic upgrade initiative spanning multiple version releases.
  • Reviewing and evaluating extensive Epic release content and Nova Notes.
  • Supporting business continuity while critical system upgrades are completed.
  • Partnering closely with Revenue Cycle leadership, analysts, and Epic experts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Norfolk, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
