Job Description

This position supports Pathology Informatics, Laboratory Medicine, and Revenue Cycle analytics initiatives by transforming laboratory, clinical, operational, and financial data into meaningful reports and actionable insights. The ideal candidate possesses a clinical laboratory background and experience working with Epic reporting and billing data, preferably within a laboratory environment. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data extracts using SQL, Power BI, Crystal Reports, and Epic Cogito tools; supporting laboratory operational and billing analytics; and partnering with laboratory, informatics, revenue cycle, and Epic application teams to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and business performance. Candidates with Epic Cogito certifications (Clarity and/or Caboodle), Epic HB/PB experience, Beaker familiarity, and a strong understanding of laboratory workflows and healthcare analytics are strongly preferred.

  • Craft compelling routine and ad-hoc reports that tell the story behind the numbers
  • Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations that drive strategic goals and operational excellence
  • Design and roll out new or improved reporting processes that make life easier for your customers
  • Rise to the challenge of complex analytical requests while keeping deadlines in your sights
  • Present data-driven insights to diverse audiences with clarity, confidence, and flair
  • Collaborate with your manager and senior team members to ensure every deliverable is timely and top-notch
  • Flex your analytical and problem-solving muscles on a daily basis
  • Maintain sharp attention to detail while juggling multiple priorities
Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Applied Science
  • OR an Associate's degree with 10 years of healthcare analyst experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • One to two (1-2) years of healthcare or business setting experience required.
  • Experience in the use of any Enterprise Databases or shared data repository.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record System (EMR) report development.
