Job description

A growing community health organization is seeking a Clinical Informatics Lead to join its team ~25 miles west of Boston, Massachusetts. This unique hybrid opportunity combines primary care with clinical informatics leadership, offering an ideal role for a BC/BE Family Medicine physician who enjoys patient care, technology, workflow improvement and provider education.

Position Highlights:
  • Hybrid role: 40% direct primary care + 50% clinical informatics + 10% clinical administration
  • Serve as a PCP caring for patients across the full age spectrum, from pediatrics through geriatrics
  • Provide preventive, acute and chronic care, including uncomplicated prenatal/postnatal services
  • Collaborate with physicians and other members of the clinical care team
  • Serve as the clinical EMR liaison between IT and medical providers
  • Lead provider onboarding and initial EMR training
  • Train providers on new EMR features, workflows and upgrades
  • Provide one-on-one retraining and ongoing EMR competency development
  • Help design, improve and re-engineer clinical workflows
  • Participate in EMR upgrades and organizational implementation projects
  • Help lead the organization's transition to Epic, including training providers on the new system
  • Create training materials for current and future clinical team members
  • Opportunity to combine clinical practice with meaningful technology and physician/provider leadership
Qualifications:
  • Licensed, BC/BE Family Medicine Physician
  • Massachusetts medical license
  • Certified and willing to clinically treat all ages, from pediatric to geriatric
  • Minimum 2 years of primary care or related clinical experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using an EMR, such as Epic, MediTech, eClinicalWorks or NextGen
  • Strong communication, teaching and organizational skills
  • Interest in clinical informatics, workflow optimization and provider education
Compensation & Benefits:
