Job Summary
Esports Student Assistants will work with members of Varsity and its coach in growing and developing the Esports Program. This includes marketing and managing the Varsity practice facility, handling and updating the Twitch livestreams, helping with Esports events (i.e. tabling, marketing, and Q&A).
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current student enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours at the University of West Georgia with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Must have experience using game applications (i.e. Steam, Epic Games, Blizzard, Origin, etc.).
  • Must have experience using Discord.
Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions
  • Able to work evenings, weekends and events on short notice.
  • Able to lift 50-80lbs worth of equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience running livestreams using OBS and VMix through Twitch.
  • Experience editing and producing using Adobe software (i.e. After Effects, Photoshop, Audition)
  • Experience developing and managing Discord servers. Ability to troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and other software.
  • Ability to toubleshoot gaming consoles and gaming desktops.
  • Knowledge in either of the following games: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Valorant, andor Rocket League
