Job description

Locum Tenens Urologist Opportunity
Location: Appleton, Wisconsin

Position Highlights

  • Flexible weekly schedule:
    • Monday–Friday Clinic
    • 1 Dedicated OR Day per Week
    • 24-Hour Call Coverage (8:00 AM – 8:00 AM the following day)
  • One 24-hour rate covers both clinic responsibilities and overnight call.
  • If called back into the hospital after hours, callback time is paid at 1.5× the hourly rate.
  • Full hospital, clinic, and OR support staff
  • Epic EMR with remote training prior to start
  • State-of-the-art cystoscopy suites and Intuitive Da Vinci Si/Xi robotic platforms
  • Opportunity to manage emergent, non-critical urology patients in an outpatient setting, helping reduce unnecessary ER visits
  • No radical urology procedures required
  • Low-volume facility located in a rural service area, offering a manageable patient load.
 

Candidate Requirements

  • Wisconsin medical license preferred (IMLC providers will be considered)
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible preferred
  • Standard credentialing process
  • Comfortable admitting patients as needed
  • General Urology experience required
 

Practice Details

  • Location: Appleton, Wisconsin
  • Seeking 2–3 providers to assist with ongoing coverage
  • Average patient volume: 6-8 patients per day
  • Robotic platform available for scheduled procedures (rarely used for emergent cases)
  • Rural, low-volume practice environment
 

Schedule

Providers work a combination of clinic, OR, and 24-hour call.

  • Clinic: Monday–Friday
  • Operating Room: 1 dedicated OR day each week
  • 24-Hour Call: 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM the following day
  • Providers remain on call after clinic hours and continue call overnight until 8:00 AM the following morning.
  • The 24-hour rate includes both clinic and call coverage.
  • Callback into the hospital after hours is compensated at 1.5× the hourly rate.
  • 7-day call blocks are available.
