Job Summary:
The Residential Security Team Agent is tasked with numerous functions by providing support to a protective security detail near Orange County, CA. This detail operates in a dynamic, multi-faceted, and fast paced environment.
Duties:
Duties for this detail include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the overall safety and security of designated principals and their properties.
  • Maintain a knowledge of baseline properties and neighborhood activities.
  • Monitor property and area activities and conditions via vehicle perimeter checks.
  • Investigate suspicious people.
  • Collaborate with other Keelson and client teams to control access to properties and maintenance of security logs for guests, service personnel, and vendors.
  • Ensure 24/7 operational readiness through stocking supplies and equipment upkeep.
  • Operate within parameters established by standard operating procedures and applicable laws.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in use and proper maintenance for all equipment (i.e., vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices, etc.).
  • Must possess the ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to stay vigilant sitting in a vehicle for extended periods of time.
  • Must be a proactive problem solver with the capability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must possess a good understanding of the latest technology in security camera systems, use of smartphones, communications, and collaboration apps (Google Drive, Word, Excel & Power Point).
  • Must keep a professional appearance, have good personal hygiene.
  • Must be responsive via phone call, text, and email as needed to support the team.

Position Qualifications

  • 2-4+ years of combined experience in relevant security, military, and/or law enforcement positions.
  • Prior residential and/or fixed site security experience.
  • Physically fit to facilitate emergency responses.
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
  • American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED for Adult, Child & Infant certification.
  • California BSIS Guard Card.
  • California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit with 9mm endorsement
  • *All certifications must be current. Employees are responsible for keeping all certifications/licenses active

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to patrol all properties and access areas quickly.
  • Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary.
  • Prolonged periods sitting of 5+ hours in a car.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to lift, drag a human up to 200lbs or more, if necessary.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, crawl.
  • Being able to respond to physical attacks, natural disasters, evacuations.

Detail Structure
Full-time position

  • Weekends.
  • Holidays.
  • Overtime/additional shifts as needed.
  • Quarterly sustainment training - firearms, defensive tactics, medical, driving

Salary and Benefits

  • Minimum compensation of $95,000.00 per year
  • Shift length 12 hours/day
  • Schedule is 4 days on and 3 days off, then 3 days on and 4 days off
  • Pay structure per shift includes built-in overtime and double-time in accordance with California and federal laws
