Job Description:

Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Mid Level Technical Writer to support the development of technical documentation, SOPs, user guides, training materials, and operational documentation supporting U.S. Coast Guard systems and Moodle LMS environments.

Duties:
  • Develop technical manuals, SOPs, and training documentation
  • Document workflows, configurations, and operational procedures
  • Support proposal and compliance documentation efforts
  • Translate technical concepts into user-friendly materials
  • Assist with knowledge transfer and training support activities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3–5 years of technical writing experience supporting federal programs
  • Experience developing IT and cybersecurity documentation
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and software development documentation
  • Strong editing, formatting, and document management skills
  • Experience supporting DHS or DoD environments preferred

Salary Range:

Pay range information will be disclosed consistent with applicable state and local pay transparency laws once available. For this position, the anticipated salary range is $85,000.000-$95,000.00, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
