Responsibilities Director of Environmental Services:

· Supervise and lead the environmental services staff including training and evaluation of staff performance to ensure high-quality services.

· Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards.

· Develop and manage the department budget.

· Implement and monitor infection control measures to prevent the spread of infections within the facility.

· Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a clean and sanitary environment that supports resident well-being.

· Other duties assigned by Administrator.

Qualifications Director of Environmental Services:

  • Preferably has an Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

  • Has at least three years of supervisory experience (preferably in a skilled nursing facility in environmental services).

  • Has the ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, equipment operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Has the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Possess mathematical skills such as ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

  • Has knowledge of pertinent regulatory agencies and other policies, codes, standards and regulations.

  • Has knowledge of infection control techniques.
