Title: Environmental Services Associate / Housekeeper
 
Pay: $17.50-18.50 per hour (based on experience) + benefits and perks
 
Job Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
 
Schedule & Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)

Sedgebrook is seeking a hospitality-focused Environmental Services Associate to join our team! This position is responsible for performing housekeeping duties in resident apartment homes and throughout the community.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of housekeeping functions, including but not limited to, general cleaning/disinfecting, vacuuming, mopping, spot cleaning, dusting.
  • Perform scheduled residential apartment cleanings, including vacant and non-vacant units or model suites.
  • Assist with cleaning public areas, offices, and residential building corridors.
  • Assist with resident activities setups and breakdowns and any residents request.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or janitorial experience (6+ months) preferred.
  • Strong customer service and hospitality mindset.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English, and communicate effectively with residents.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Physical Requirements

  • Moderate to heavy physical effort 95% of the work day.
  • Ability to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching and stretching.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. independently.
  • Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. over tiled and carpeted surfaces over long distances.
  • Ability to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residents.
  • May be exposed to communicable diseases including influenze, HIV, and hepatitis.
  • May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals.
