What is an environmental service associate?

Environmental Service Associates, often called EVS Associates, are professionals responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in healthcare facilities, such as hospitals and clinics. Their duties include cleaning patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and disposing of waste according to safety standards. By ensuring a clean environment, they help prevent the spread of infections and contribute to the overall safety and comfort of patients, staff, and visitors. This role is essential for supporting public health and upholding facility standards.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an environmental service associate?

To thrive as an Environmental Service Associate, you need knowledge of cleaning procedures, infection control, and basic facility maintenance, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent.
