Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Specialist to join our team supporting our Federal client! In this role you will join a multi-disciplined environmental team providing onsite support at the client office
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Act as the Company representative with the client during the program execution.
  • Assist client to determine specific environmental support requirements to execute their expanding construction program including:
    • develop a comprehensive NEPA compliance strategy, including identifying the appropriate level of NEPA review for each proposed government action
    • prepare programmatic Environmental Assessment (EA) and all necessary associated NEPA documentation for all proposed government actions
    • conduct detailed environmental analysis of the facilities master plans, including identifying and assessing environmental impacts of specific projects and activities
    • support Federal client in engaging with the public and stakeholders, including drafting public notices, attending public meetings, and providing assistance with drafting responses to public comments
    • coordinate and consult with relevant federal, state, and local agencies, including U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO).
    • Advises client on matters related to compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Mobilize company resources or specialty subcontractors to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work as required

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • 5+ years NEPA/environmental compliance experience in support of multi-$M Federal client construction programs. (8+ years preferred)
  • BS Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Planning or related field
  • Experience in producing NEPA-related documentation
  • Ability to manage projects, interface with clients and enjoy being hands on technically in the project.
  • US Citizenship required

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Broad knowledge and experience with NEPA/environmental support for Federal facilities and related infrastructure
  • Deep familiarity with environmental standards, procedures, and approval processes.
  • Certification as PMP with the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Developed soft skills working as part of a team with Federal client
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project

Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
