Intermediate Environmental Project Manager- Calgary, AB, or surrounding area

ADay in theLife

As an Intermediate Environmental Project Manager, in our Calgary or Surrounding offices, you'll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.

The compensation range for this role is $35.00 to $53.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location

To thrive in this role,you'llbe comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

As aProject Managerwith technical environmental experience, you will join our Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation and Monitoring (ARRM) team. The successful applicant will be 90% office-based and involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows:

  • Act as a leader in the workplace using Our Standard Operating Safety and Technical Procedures

  • Manage a portfolio of simple to moderately complex project scopes, schedules and budgets and coordinate with internal project teams across disciplines tofacilitatedelivery of high-quality products to meet our client's requirements

  • Communicate with client's program management team and project related stakeholders and subcontractors on technical and project management scopes

  • Prepare technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, and cost estimates, including preparing sub-contractor requests for proposals and complete proposal evaluation to present sub-contractor with recommendations in-line with client procurement standards

  • Prepare technical reports with a primary focus on regulatory submissions (Record of Site Conditions, Comprehensive Site Reviews, Conceptual Site Models, Phase 1 ESA, Phase 2 ESA, RMP/RAP, Detailed Site Assessments, Remedial Summary Reports, and Remediation or Reclamation Certificate Applications)

  • Function effectively within and contribute to the success of a collaborative, highly integrated team

  • Proactively engage andparticipatein development opportunities to support your career growth

  • Mentor and develop junior and intermediate staff members

  • A degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology,hydrogeologyor engineering

  • A minimum of six (6) yearspreviousenvironmental consulting experience with a minimum of two (2) years of direct project management experience

  • Eligibility for registration in ormaintaininga good standing in a professional organization (e.g. AIA, ASET, APEGA)

  • Self-motivated,possessstrong communicationskills (verbal and written), and strong leadership skills

  • Experience with estimating costs and leading site assessment and remediation programs in the oil & gas industry

  • Experiencewritingtechnical reports including ESAs, RMPs, RAPs, etc.

  • Experience with the Alberta Energy Regulator'sOneStoptool and working knowledge of provincial regulatory frameworks in Western Canada is also an asset

  • A valid and clean class 5 driver's license with no restrictions
