About D1 Training
D1 Training is an athletic-based group training facility for adults and youth athletes ages 7 and up. Our mission is simple: You pick the goal, we help you get there
We combine expert coaching, proven training systems, and a high-energy environment to help every athlete improve performance, build confidence, and reach their goals.
Position Overview
As a D1 Intern, you'll support group workouts, provide individualized guidance, and create an environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and motivated. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about strength & conditioning, athlete development, and performance coaching.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Operations
  • Greet members and create a welcoming, high-energy environment
  • Assist with check-ins, scheduling, and basic administrative tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility

Coaching & Training Support
  • Assist coaches during group classes and training sessions
  • Help set up and break down equipment
  • Provide encouragement and support to athletes during workouts
  • Learn D1 programming and coaching methodology

Community Engagement & Events
  • Support planning and execution of community events and outreach initiatives
  • Represent D1 Training at local events, partnerships, and promotions
  • Help build relationships within the local community
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field (preferred)

Qualifications
  • Passion for fitness, sports performance, and helping others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Current student or recent graduate in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related field (preferred but not required)
