Job description

The Project Consultant is responsible for developing their technical and regulatory knowledge base to enable the efficient completion of environmental projects. The Project Consultant acts as the secondary technical resource in direct support to colleagues of varying career levels.
Requirements

  • Consistently deliver quality and timely work products to project team.
  • Develop emissions inventories for facilities.
  • Review state and federal environmental regulations and expand environmental consulting knowledge.
  • Efficiently provide accurate technical calculations, effective written communication, and utilization of spreadsheets and databases to contribute to project deliverables.
  • Prepare technical reports in support of environmental permits.
  • Analyze and translate data for modeling support.
  • Provide direct project support to colleagues of varying career levels.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and technical skills; coordinate with team members the review of project deliverables to ensure project compliance with ALL4's quality assurance procedures.
  • Exhibit ALL4's core values in all transactions both internally and externally; continually seek out and provide feedback.
  • Meet billable hour and utilization goals (~90%).
  • Interact with client and regulatory contacts.
  • Prioritize client engagement through routine and repeating outreach, in-person connection, and intentional sharing of ALL4 services and capabilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • This is an experienced junior-staff position.
  • Engineering or applicable environmental/science degree and collective experiences equivalent to 1-3 years of environmental permitting and compliance consulting or industry experience required.
  • Strong technical calculation, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills as well as basic chemistry knowledge and acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines by independently managing priorities and workflows.

  • Creative thinking with complex problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong document production skills (proficiency in Word and Excel) and technical writing ability.

  • Experience in the environmental field including modeling, monitoring, field sampling, and a general understanding of specific manufacturing processes (e.g., pulp and paper, cement) preferred.
  • Specific experience with environmental regulatory and compliance issues (e.g., air, water, waste, multimedia, Health & Safety [H&S], environmental, social, and governance [ESG], digital) preferred, specifically environmental investigation and remediation.
Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $78,000 to $89,000 at the time of posting. Factors taken into consideration when determining actual compensation include, but are not limited to, education, experience, skill set, location, and business or organizational needs. In addition, this role will also be eligible for bonus pay.
