Environmental Project Scientist or Engineer

Position Overview

C&S is seeking a full-time Project Environmental Scientist or Engineer to join our Environmental Service Group in our Buffalo, New York office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing and serving as technical expert on regulatory compliance projects spanning a variety of technical areas such as petroleum and chemical bulk storage, storm water, hazardous waste, air quality, etc.
  • Complete marketing and business development activities
  • Provide proposal development, project estimating, and technical document preparation
  • Complete field activities
  • Prepare various technical reports, permits, and plans
  • Overseeing project financials and staff execution of project tasks
  • Complete quality assurance review of others’ work
  • Provide staff management and development

Skills/Education/Experience

  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental permitting & compliance, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, geology or related programs
  • Strong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • A valid driver’s license
  • A willingness to travel and undertake overnight travel, if necessary
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Estimated Compensation Range and Benefits

$70,000 - $90,000/year*

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
