Overview

Join Our Team as a Fire Protection Specialist in Nampa, ID!

PACE Supply is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fire Protection Specialist to join our Nampa, ID team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities with contractors and end-users while driving growth in new construction, renovations, and retrofits within your assigned territory.

As a Fire Protection Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting lives and property by providing expert solutions in fire protection systems. Responsibilities
  • Process orders from customers via phone and email.
  • Manage orders, open orders, and backorders; communicate them to the customer.
  • Build relationships with local customers visiting the Specialist location.
  • Collaborate with the outside salesperson to increase Fire Protection product sales.
  • Participate in joint sales calls with the outside salesperson.
  • Provide quotes to customers through collaboration with the outside salesperson.
  • Process purchases and transfers, communicating with the purchaser.
  • Regularly contribute to the whole sales team.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of the internal order system (MIS) and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Take ownership of stocked Fire Protection products in the location.
  • Monitor and address inventory and inventory issues; follow warehousing and shipping best practices.
  • Be aware of and assist with Fire Fabrication orders shipping through the PACE Branch.
  • Continuously learn about products through vendor training and PACE Online University.
Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

  • High school diploma or equivalent credential required.
  • Minimum of 2 years in counter sales with a strong background in Fire Protection.
  • Proficient management of open orders and backorders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven capability to build and sustain relationships with customers and internal staff.
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Consistently achieve monthly sales goals, contributing significantly to the entire Inside Sales Team.
  • Active participation in divisional initiatives and strategies.
  • High standards for both quality and quantity of work.
  • Exceptional reliability, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Regular evaluation of performance by the Fire Protection Supervisor.
  • Performance feedback from both outside sales staff and customers.
  • Strong selling skills and a competitive spirit.

Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
