Must-Haves:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology/Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science from an accredited institution
3 to 8 years of Project Management experience
Experience with federal and state environmental regulations, with emphasis on NJDEP
Valid Drivers License
We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our team in the Somerville, NJ office.
Verdantas is actively growing in the Mid-Atlantic region. Come join a group of technically diverse, strategically minded professionals to help grow our environmental services in New Jersey. The successful candidate will be excited about engaging with both new clients as well as clients from our existing portfolio and the opportunity to grow and lead a team.
Responsibilities:
Manage diverse, fast-paced projects involving multidisciplinary teams.
Develop and maintain client relationships as primary or secondary client contact for projects
Lead selling and cross-selling efforts; (Geotech, Property Condition Assessments, Wetland, Landfill, Civil, Survey)
Lead in the development of strategy, the scope of work, and budget for projects.
Lead safety culture within the project team or unit, including following safety protocols for all projects
Actively manage project metrics, WIP and AR
Prepare, provide technical input, and/or review reports
Maintain overall project quality consistent with company and professional standards.
Interact with regulatory agencies, primarily NJDEP, knowing what information to provide, when and with appropriate internal or client review
Plan and execute work tasks, as well as oversee tasks of team members, to meet project deadlines and budgets
Solve problems creatively and effectively and make informed decisions
Collaborate across multiple disciplines and with clients to articulate and achieve project goals
Communicate effectively and proactively with management, peers, and clients
Possess detailed knowledge of regulations in environmental investigation/remediation
Motivate, mentor, and encourage others and help the team achieve success
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology/Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science from an accredited institution
Experience with federal and state environmental regulations, with emphasis on NJDEP
3 to 8 years of Project Management experience
Strong data collecting, evaluation, and technical writing skills
Must possess a valid driver's license
