Environmental Project Manager  

Lead Environmental Projects. Build Client Partnerships. Deliver Remediation Excellence.

Pay: $90,000 – $120,000 per year
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Rocky Mountain Region
Travel: Occasional regional travel to project and client sites
Reports To: Program Leadership / Engineering & Consulting Management


The Role

The Project Manager is a key member of Tasman’s Engineering & Consulting team, providing full client and project management support for oil and gas remediation and construction projects throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.

This role supports established client programs while helping identify, scope, and develop future opportunities. The ideal candidate is an organized, safety-focused leader who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong client relationships, delivering quality work, and supporting project teams from planning through completion.


What You’ll Be DoingProject & Client Management
  • Manage multiple remediation and construction projects from initiation through completion
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
  • Support existing projects while proactively identifying, scoping, and costing new opportunities
  • Execute projects within established regulatory frameworks, SOPs, budgets, and schedules
  • Prepare and submit project deliverables to regulatory agencies and clients
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Build and manage dedicated project teams to meet project and client requirements
  • Coordinate with Tasman technical resource groups to secure expertise and project support
  • Collaborate closely with Tasman Construction teams for construction-focused project execution
  • Hire, train, mentor, and manage project personnel as needed
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Financial & Administrative Oversight
  • Track project budgets, accruals, and cash flow forecasts
  • Review and submit invoices and project financial documentation
  • Monitor project performance against budget and schedule targets
  • Support operational and financial decision-making through project reporting
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
  • Attend client-sponsored safety meetings
  • Ensure project teams comply with client and Tasman health and safety requirements
  • Monitor changes in client procedures, regulatory requirements, and training expectations
  • Communicate updates and requirements to project personnel
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all projects

What You BringRequired
  • 6+ years of related industry experience
  • Proven project management experience, preferably in environmental consulting, remediation, or field-related disciplines
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication, client management, and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with field equipment and material management
  • Strong understanding of SOPs, project execution requirements, and health & safety regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
  • Valid driver's license
  • Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Oil & Gas remediation experience
  • Experience working with environmental regulations in the Rocky Mountain Region

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a professional office environment with periodic field responsibilities.

Office & Field Conditions:
  • Fast-paced project management environment
  • Collaboration with technical, construction, and client teams
  • Occasional travel to active project sites and client locations
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions during field visits
Physical Requirements:
  • Light to medium physical requirements (up to 25 pounds)
  • Occasional standing, walking, and travel
  • Regular computer and office equipment usage

Schedule
  • Full-time
  • Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Occasional overtime based on project demands

Required Education & Experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of related industry experience
  • Proven environmental, remediation, construction, or project management background

Work Authorization
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
