Job description

We are SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC (SSE), a government contracting and consulting firm supporting several military installations and federal agencies across the nation.
SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC is seeking an Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Specialist to provide technical and program support to address the requirements of the Army Environmental Restoration Program. Support will include aspects of the Army Environmental Restoration Program such as the Installation Restoration (IR) Program, Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), and Compliance Clean-up (CC) related remediation programs.
What You'll Do:
Responsibilities include:
  • Serve as single point of contact for technical coordination of project requirements at Fort Gordon (Augusta, GA) and Gillem Enclave (Atlanta, GA)
  • Provide environmental program technical support to help Army Environmental meet their Compliance Cleanup, Installation Restoration, Military Munitions Response Program, and Underground Storage Tanks/Above Storage Tanks (UST/AST) programs goals
  • Ensure that activities are compliant with CERCLA and RCRA and state/local or other federal regulations
  • Assist Government with coordinating efforts with representatives of federal, state, and local agencies
  • Provide technical assistance with permit renewals, investigation derived waste management, and field activities
  • Provide document review support
  • Assist the Installation in monitoring technical progress and financial status of each restoration program
  • Support and facilitate environmental meetings
  • Provide support to community group meetings such as Restoration Advisory Board and public involvement support
  • Maintain and upload official record copies to the Army Permanent Document Repository and Administrative Record
  • Participate in the Installation Action Plan Review, Land Use Control Review, and support the Cost-to-Complete package and the Five-Year review process
  • This is an on-site position with the Primary Duty Station being in Augusta, GA
  • Travel to Atlanta, GA for two consecutive workdays per month, at minimum and as project needs dictate, will be required - company paid travel expenses shall including mileage, hotel, & per diem

What You Bring:
  • BS degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or Related Field
  • Five years of experience performing environmental restoration technical support preferred
  • Three years of Cost-to-Complete Memoranda for Record experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regulations and guidance
  • Understanding of firm-fixed price and performance-based contracts
  • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card for Installation and computer network access.
  • Ability to travel to Atlanta, GA for two consecutive workdays per month, at minimum and as project needs dictate, will be required - company paid travel expenses shall include milage, hotel, & per diem
