Job description

The Evenings Supervisor maintains and develops positive customer relations by ensuring quality environmental service. Responsible for the daily operation of the EVS staff and provides feedback to the Director, Environmental Services as needed. Ensures that work is done in accordance with standard procedures and with hospital objectives. Continually monitors and enhances departmental policies and procedures to ensure high satisfaction as well as efficient and effective business practices. Performs other duties assigned by department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must obtain certification as a Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) within the first six (6) months.
  • Two years environmental services experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Round in all assigned areas at a minimum of 2 times a shift; hold staff accountable and assign cleaning concerns/observations during rounds.
  • Conduct 3 quality cleaning inspections per employee each month.
  • Round/check in on department heads and charge nurses regularly during each shift.
  • Attend and participate in weekly EVS management team meetings.
  • Post weekly schedule and ensure all employees have schedules for their areas daily.
  • Provide input to department manager/director on equipment and supply needs throughout the year.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.

2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Pay Range:
Hourly/Non Exempt
$18.00 - $26.00; based off work experience
