By working as part of a multidisciplinary team, Environmental Graphics specialists help create cohesive, functional, and aesthetically pleasing spaces that enhance user experience.

What are environmental graphics?

Environmental graphics, also known as environmental graphic design (EGD), involve creating visual elements that enhance the experience of built environments. This field combines graphic design, architecture, art, and interior design to communicate information, guide people, and create a sense of place within spaces such as offices, museums, airports, and public areas. Examples of environmental graphics include wayfinding signage, wall murals, branded environments, and exhibit graphics. The goal is to make spaces more engaging, accessible, and visually cohesive.
