Server Engineering Intern

Who we are looking for:
Every day, Cambia's dedicated team of Server Engineers are living our mission to make health care easier and lives better. As a member of the Server Engineering team, our this position support the installation, upgrades, testing, and maintenance of computer systems, operating systems, and software applications - all in service of creating a person-focused health care experience.

What You Bring to Cambia:
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program specializing in Computer Science/Systems or a related field. (Candidates who have completed their degree in the last nine months are also encouraged to apply.)
  • Proficient understanding of design, implementation, and sustainment activities of Information Technology systems.
  • Familiar with infrastructure management techniques such as change management, problem management, release management, configuration management, and/or system lifecycle.
  • Experience in project management techniques and the ability to lead projects to a timely, successful outcome.

Skills and Attributes:
  • Understands MS and/or UNIX environments including common suites and core business applications.
  • Ability to develop efficient and effective program and system solutions for light to medium complex business problems.
  • Ability to automate tasks and document them for others to use; takes direction from others.
  • Ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve system performance problems or outages.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technologies and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to upgrade hardware, operating system software, and third-party software.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and document medium to large product upgrades.
  • Strong ability to project/forecast time allocation for project completion.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers and all levels of management, both verbally and in writing.

What You Will Do at Cambia:
  • Install and configure computing systems and/or support software in support of business processes and objectives.
  • Provide administration and support documentation.
  • Participate in the research and estimating of proposed work.
  • Support and coordinate the effective administration of computing systems and support software.
  • Prepare program, system, operational, and user documentation.
  • Work as an active team member for joint project success, taking responsibility for assigned action items and deliverables.
  • Focus on operational activities that ensure maximum availability and reliability of the supported platform/technology.

The expected hiring range for an intern is $18.25 - $20.00 per hour depending on skills, experience, education, and training.
