Position Overview

The Clinical Director plays a key leadership role within the organization, overseeing clinical services, supervising and mentoring BCBAs, BCaBAs, RBTs, and behavior staff, and ensuring excellence across all programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Oversight

• Oversee clinical programming and behavioral interventions across the clinical team

• Supervise or conduct functional behavior assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

• Prepare and maintain accurate, timely progress reports and clinical documentation

• Provide supervision, coaching, and feedback to the clinical team

• Step into direct services when needed

• Review and approve assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports

• Monitor clinical quality, data integrity, and treatment outcomes

• Deliver parent and caregiver training to support effective implementation of treatment plans

• Maintain data collection systems, program materials, and clinical records

• Ensure services align with best practices in ABA

• Monitor authorization requirements and ensure appropriate utilization of approved hours

• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members

• Attend and actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and case reviews

• Provide direct services as needed to support continuity of care or coverage

• Supervise BCBA or BCaBA candidates and trainees as assigned

• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements

• Support training, onboarding, and ongoing staff development

• Conduct overlaps and provide direct feedback in the field

• Monitor authorizations, report deadlines, and service delivery

• Ensure cases remain within approved hours and funding guidelines

• Support client intake, case assignments, and staffing decisions

• Act as a primary escalation point for clinical or staffing concerns

• Participate in and lead performance and disciplinary meetings as needed

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Executive Director

• Participate in community outreach and networking

• Support relationships with funding sources and community partners

• Contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects

Qualifications

• BCBA certification required

• Master’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or related field

• Strong experience supervising clinical staff and managing caseloads

• Strong clinical knowledge of ABA principles and evidence-based practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to provide constructive feedback and coach staff effectively

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• High attention to detail and commitment to clinical quality

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

• Professional, dependable, and compassionate approach to care

Education and Experience

• Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field

• Active Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required

• Experience providing supervision and managing clinical caseloads preferred

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Hybrid work environment including telehealth and in-person, home-based services

• Travel required within assigned catchment areas based on client needs

• Flexible scheduling based on client availability and service requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move for extended periods during sessions

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds

• Ability to engage in physically interactive activities (e.g., play-based interventions, behavior support)
