Anchor Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer in Training (EIT) / Structural Design Engineer with 1–3 years of engineering experience or internship experience at an engineering firm or construction company. Responsibilities

  • Support Project Engineers and Project Managers in preparing structural designs, calculations, plans, and specifications.
  • Assist in developing design alternatives and evaluating constructability and cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure compliance with applicable building codes, project requirements, and office standards.
  • Create and coordinate construction documents using Autodesk Revit.
  • Assist with delegated design and specialty structural engineering projects as assigned.
  • Perform structural field observations and construction site visits.
  • Document existing conditions, construction progress, and field observations through notes, photographs, and reports.
  • Communicate field observations and project information to project teams.
  • Provide technical input and support to project teams.
  • Travel to project and construction sites throughout the Denver Metro area and surrounding regions.
  • Perform any additional tasks necessary to support our Vision, achieve our Mission, and uphold Anchor Engineering’s Values.

Qualifications

  • EIT certification (or ability to obtain in the near term).
  • 2-4 years of structural engineering experience (internships may count toward this requirement).
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (required).
  • Understanding of structural engineering fundamentals and building construction practices.
  • Interest in delegated design, specialty structural systems, and construction observation activities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally toward licensure.
  • Ability to work effectively in both office and construction site environments.
  • Ability to safely navigate active construction sites while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders, walk uneven terrain, and perform site observations in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Reliable personal transportation for travel to project and construction sites.
  • Current vehicle insurance meeting company requirements.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid role consisting of structural engineering design, delegated design support, specialty structural engineering, client coordination, and construction observation activities.
  • Regular travel to project sites throughout the Denver Metro area and surrounding regions.
  • Exposure to active construction sites, including varying terrain, heights, weather conditions, and construction equipment.
  • Ability to safely navigate construction sites while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Combination of office-based engineering work and outdoor field activities throughout the year.
  • Position requires routine travel between office and project locations using personal transportation.
  • Field assignments may require lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, and extended periods of standing or walking.
