GBA Companies is hiring Field Engineer Interns for GBA Builders.

  • GBA Builders provides pre-construction consulting, general contracting, design-build and construction management at risk services.

As an intern you may gain hands-on experience with estimating, preconstruction, design management, project management, scheduling, quality control reviews, site visits, and much more.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist project managers with day-to-day activities such as drawing coordination, safety reports, daily logs and reports, progress photos, quality assurance and site communication and coordination.
  • Assist with estimating by contacting subcontractors and completing quantity take-off
  • Quality control assistance
  • Assist with schedule evaluations and updates
  • Assist project buyout and preconstruction
  • Interact with clients and design team as needed to resolve issues and expedite the work
  • Attend site visits for new projects
  • Assist with project budget management
  • Provide Safety assistance while on job sites
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:
  • Pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering OR other related engineering or business discipline with interest in construction
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to work in fast-paced situations while maintaining focus
  • Desire to work in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Previous internships are a definite plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb, and work on active construction sites for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Comfort working at heights using ladders, scaffolds, or stairs

Travel:
  • This position requires travel to job sites across the US 100% of the time.
  • Home trip rotation schedule.
