Job description

The BAM Companies is seeking a motivated Leasing Consultant Intern to join our property management team. This internship offers a hands-on introduction to the real estate industry, providing direct exposure to sales, marketing, and resident relations within our private equity real estate portfolio.

As a Leasing Intern, you will be on the "front line" of our communities, learning how to drive occupancy and provide a superior experience for our residents.

What You'll Do (Primary Responsibilities)
  • Sales & Tours: Assist in the full leasing lifecycle by greeting prospective residents, conducting property tours, and showcasing community amenities and floor plans.
  • Marketing & Outreach: Support local marketing initiatives and help create social media content to increase property visibility.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records of prospective resident leads and follow-ups within our management software.
  • Resident Relations: Provide high-level customer service to current residents, assisting with the move-in/move-out process and community events.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market surveys of local competitors to assist the team in reporting on market trends and project metrics.
  • Operations: Collaborate with Maintenance and Property Management teams to ensure apartment units are "market-ready" and meet BAM standards.
What We're Looking For (Required Qualifications)
  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and an ability to quickly learn specialized property management software.
  • Drive: A self-motivated, proactive individual who can work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
