We seek a Data Steward with Contract work status for a Hybrid office in Atlanta, GA. This role requires great communication skills and a background in financial systems or experience working in the finance vertical. The successful candidate will be responsible for educating stakeholders, analyzing financial data, and managing and overseeing data processes.
In addition, the Data Steward will need to advocate and train others on the core elements of good data management, collaborate across groups, and work with IT development programs.
Your Job
As a Data Steward, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, managing and overseeing data processes, and advocating and training others on the core elements of good data management. You will collaborate across groups internally to drive process improvements and good data management practices, as well as work with IT development programs to guide decisions and approaches.
The Work
  • Extract key insights from financial data to inform decision making
  • Remediate data issues, such as removing duplicates and addressing imperfections
  • Educate stakeholders on the importance of good data management
  • Develop and implement data processes to ensure data accuracy
  • Monitor data processes and suggest improvements
  • Collaborate with IT development programs to guide decisions and approaches
  • Advocate and train others on the core elements of good data management
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and data quality assurance

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 2+ years of experience working in the finance vertical
  • Proficiency with data management and analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of MDM systems

Nice to Have
  • Experience in developing and implementing data processes
