Who You Are:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality, Safety & Environmental Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Quality, Safety, and Environmental management systems in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Quality, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor and report on Quality, Safety & Environmental performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to staff on Quality, Safety & Environmental topics.
  • Ensuring contract compliance is maintained including permitting activities.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all permits, licenses, and certifications are up to date.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all levels of the organization.
  • Implement Versar Global Safety Management System, Policy and Manual in accordance with Corporate requirements.
  • Maintain and develop the Quality, Safety & Environmental Manual and QHSE Policy.
  • Promote QHSE culture and lead efforts to improve HSE and Quality performance.
  • Liaise with all department heads on matters of Quality, Safety & Environmental, ensuring that philosophy is foremost in their minds.
  • Advise Managers/Supervisors on matters relating to Quality, Safety and Environment.
  • Responsible for coordinating Quality, Safety & Environmental to a high standard, complying with ISO-9001, 14001, 45001 and managing all the procedures and works instructions which apply to the Company.
  • Implement best practices for records management, including documentation, storage, retrieval, archiving, presentation, and backup.
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers on all matters concerning Quality, Safety & Environmental.
  • Coordinate a program of risk assessments to ensure all operations are assessed.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the Company’s management information system.

Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Monitoring Reporting (i.e. Permits such as Storm Water, Fuel Usage, etc.).
  • Baseline Hazwoper Surveillance Exams.
  • Toolbox talk entries into HSI.
  • Accident/Incident Investigation.
  • Coordination of accounting and inventory processes.
  • Review and improve process and procedures.
  • Fuel receiving, storage, inventory, and safety/environmental audits.
  • Established audit and compliance monitoring program.
  • FRP – Facility Response Plan, SPCC – Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan, SWPPP- Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, O & M manual review for compliance and updates as required.
  • Hazwoper, Hazard communication, Confined Space Entry, JHA, Facility Initial and Annual Refresher Training.
  • Filing regulatory reports and other documentation.
  • Coordinating the preparation and ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials and other communication tools.

Training

  • Actively develop and maintain a HSE and QA training plan and to deliver training courses as and when required.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all completed training.

Safety

  • Ensure that all statutory safety and environmental issues are adhered to, in conjunction with the Company’s safety procedures.
  • Ensure all the Company’s safety procedures are revised and maintained in line with current legislation.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality, Safety & Environmental Coordinator role, preferably in a service industry
  • Certification in ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001 or 45001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international Quality, Safety & Environmental regulations and standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and QHSE management software.
  • Fuel system experience.
  • Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
  • Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
  • Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
