Job description

We are looking for a Mine Superintendent for an environmental contractor company to oversee mine restoration, environmental, and heavy earthwork projects. Candidates may live anywhere in the Mountain or Pacific time zones but must travel extensively, with rotations back home.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and daily site operations.
  • Ensure work meets project plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Lead daily safety meetings and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
  • Track production, labor, equipment, materials, and project progress.
  • Prepare accurate daily reports and timesheets.
  • Train and coach field employees and equipment operators.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding safety, productivity, quality, schedule, and costs.
  • Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.


Requirements
  • 10+ years of construction experience.
  • 5+ years of field supervision experience.
  • 5+ years of mining industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy-equipment safety and field operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
