Senior Tax Consultant โ€“ Rochester Market

Location: Rochester, MN; Lakeville, MN
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (up to 50% remote) with regular presence in the Rochester market

Short-Term Incentive: This role is eligible for a short-term incentive opportunity of up to 20% of base salary, tied to corporate and team performance measures. Team members in this role also have the opportunity to earn additional incentive compensation beyond this amount.

The contributions you will make:

Compeer Financial is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Consultant to play a key role in serving and expanding our Tax & Accounting business in the Rochester market. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who can work independently, develop business opportunities, and serve as a trusted advisor to agricultural producers and agribusinesses.

A typical day:

  • Provide tax planning, tax preparation, and consulting services to individual, partnership, and corporate clients.
  • Develop trusted client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand and strengthen Compeer's Tax & Accounting business.
  • Collaborate with team members across Compeer to deliver exceptional client service and comprehensive financial solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required or in progress.
  • Advanced experience in tax planning and tax preparation, preferably with agricultural or business clients.
  • Proven ability to work independently, build client relationships, and contribute to business growth.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.
