U.S. Compliance is the industry leader in EHS compliance management and EHS consulting solutions, delivering OSHA/safety and environmental compliance expertise to industrial companies. We utilize a unique business model called Compliance as a Service (CaaS), and we are the only firm built to deliver it. We've partnered with manufacturing clients for over 30 years customizing our services to help them attain and sustain EHS compliance, acting as extensions of their existing team and resources while charging a monthly fee instead of project-based billing with hourly rates. Ideal location for this role is Portland, Oregon. Other locations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide high quality air permitting and compliance support to manufacturing companies across the United States
  • Research and assess facility operations for regulatory applicability
  • Complete air quality permit applications for major and minor source facilities
  • Prepare air emission reports, greenhouse gas reports, compliance reports
  • Provide on-site visits to clients for inspections, compliance support, and regulatory training
  • Build and develop client relationships focusing on our Core Values
  • Provide general consulting solutions related to all environmental areas including hazardous waste, stormwater, SPCC, and Community-Right-to-Know
  • Collaborate with other U.S. Compliance practitioners to execute environmental deadlines and projects

Position Requirements:
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or related science discipline
  • Minimum of three (3) years' work experience with an industrial, research, consulting, or regulatory agency
  • Ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of experience in air quality permitting and compliance
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in AERMOD air dispersion modeling
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory authorities and applicable environmental regulations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Dynamics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, comfortable hosting presentations, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills to support multiple activities on an ongoing basis by the given deadline
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with a diverse workload
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexible and willing to support diverse projects as needed
  • Ability to travel to client sites for routine visits regionally and/or nationally (approx. 20% of the time)
