Job description

Senior Environmental Associate/Scientist

Position located in Burlington, MA. Provide high‑level support to clients and consultants across Environmental and Earth Sciences with water‑related matters, including impacted media, drinking water treatment, industrial applications, and root‑cause investigations.

You will be responsible for
  • Conducting engineering and technical analyses and preparing clear written communications and reports.
  • Supporting multidisciplinary project teams on complex, challenging problems.
  • Assisting a wide range of clients with water‑related challenges, including polluted waters and sediments, drinking water applications, industrial wastewater treatment, food production processes, storm‑water handling, water recycling, contaminated groundwater treatment, energy generation, health and consumer product development, and more.
  • Pursuing professional development opportunities, including conference presentations and journal publications, to improve professional visibility.
  • Developing existing client relationships and expanding business opportunities.
You will have the following skills and qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, industrial water treatment, consulting, operations, management, and/or litigation support.
  • Relevant experience in civil, environmental or chemical engineering, including water/wastewater treatment process design, process optimization, food and beverage production, or consumer and/or small‑scale device development.
  • Ability to synthesize and interpret complex engineering practices and associated water quality data sets for forensic and root‑cause analysis investigations.
  • Experience with water quality regulation (e.g., Safe Drinking Water Act) and permitting is a plus.
  • Experience in use of field equipment for the collection of surface water and groundwater, soil, and sediment samples is a plus.
  • Experience in the evaluation of multiple analytical techniques for the assessment of environmental conditions.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects and tasks with competing deadlines, and effectively communicate within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to personal and company marketing.
  • Subject matter expert experience is a plus.
  • Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship or processing required.
Compensation

Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. The Associate and Senior Associate level total compensation includes base salary, bi‑weekly bonuses for high‑intensity efforts, annual bonus, and a 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.

Salary Range

USD $115,920.00 - USD $141,795.00 /Yr.
