Environ Energy is seeking an experienced Energy Contract Renewal Specialist to manage client renewals, ensuring that Environ retains and grows its existing client base. In this role, you will be responsible for driving renewal conversations, negotiating contract renewals, and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience, delivering high customer satisfaction and maintaining strong client relationships. This position is key to sustaining recurring revenue and supporting Environ Energyโ€™s mission of providing comprehensive energy management and sustainability solutions to our clients.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably within the energy, clean energy, renewable energy, or sustainability industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing client renewals and negotiating contracts.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and sales productivity tools, such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Renewals & Contract Management: Own the contract renewal process for existing clients, ensuring timely and successful renewal of agreements. Manage all aspects of contract negotiation and review, aiming for high renewal rates.
  • Retention Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to improve customer retention and minimize churn. Proactively engage clients ahead of contract end dates to discuss renewals and identify their ongoing needs.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor. Ensure consistent communication and follow-ups to address client needs and concerns throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Upselling & Cross-Selling: Identify and pursue opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional Environ Energy services, such as energy procurement, energy efficiency projects, and carbon tracking solutions.
  • Collaboration & Internal Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including account management, engineering, and customer support, to ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded. Collaborate on resolving any issues that could impact renewals.
  • Client Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from clients regarding their experience with Environ Energyโ€™s services and communicate that feedback to internal teams to improve service offerings. Identify areas for process improvement to enhance customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Track and report on key renewal metrics, including renewal rates, contract values, and upsell/cross-sell performance. Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on renewal performance data.
Qualifications:
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to drive contract renewals and upsell opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Proficiency in energy management, sustainability solutions, or clean energy is highly desirable.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple client renewals simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track, report, and optimize renewal performance metrics.
