Envelope Folding Machine Adjuster
Join our team and play an essential role in ensuring high-quality envelope production!
Job Summary
We are seeking an Envelope Folding Machine Adjuster to oversee the operation and maintenance of our Envelope Folding Machines. This position is critical in ensuring product quality, troubleshooting, machine set-up, preventative maintenance, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Change the machine settings from one envelope style and size to another, minimizing downtime.
  • Maintain the quality of the envelopes being produced, including folding, printing, gumming, latexing, and any other attachments.
  • Ensure proper approvals (OK’s) for every job manufactured.
  • Actively participate in and support lean manufacturing activities.
  • Prepare necessary parts and attachments before machine changes to reduce downtime.
  • Seek management guidance when quality is compromised for machine speed.
  • Ensure the correct gum is used for each job, including seal gum, back gum, window gum, or any special gum required.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, changes, and maintenance performed.
  • Monitor machine for wear and tear, reporting any issues to the department supervisor.
  • Continuously review each job for potential process improvements.
  • Keep the machine area clean and well-maintained.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with operators, floor operators, and adjusters across shifts and departments.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on machines.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.
Compensation
$20+ (based on skills amp; ability) and shift differential
Shifts Available (includes various weekends)
  • 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM
  • 3rd Shift: 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM

Education amp; Experience

Physical Requirements amp; Work Environment
  • Standing for extended periods - safety footwear required
  • Frequent use of hands for handling materials and machine adjustments.
  • Occasional walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities including verifying color and print quality
  • Tolerate loud noise levels - hearing protection required
