Job description

We are seeking a Construction Manager; Building and Infrastructure to lead the strategy, integrity, and capital investment of building and site infrastructure across our facilities. This role provides technical leadership for building envelope systems, structural assets, site infrastructure, and construction projects that directly impact safety, reliability, compliance, and long-term business performance.

Operating at the intersection of engineering, construction, asset management, and capital planning, this position serves as the technical authority for the built environment and helps shape how the organization evaluates, maintains, and modernizes its physical infrastructure.

We're looking for an owner, not just a maintainer. This role goes beyond repairs and routine upkeep. You'll help manage, improve, and protect the facilities and assets that keep the business running.

 What You'll Do...
  • Lead Facility Infrastructure & Asset Management

    • Oversee the performance, condition, and lifecycle of building and site infrastructure, including roofing, structural systems, HVAC, electrical, fire protection, parking lots, drainage, and site utilities.
    • Identify risks, assess asset condition, and develop long-term maintenance and replacement strategies.
    • Ensure facilities remain safe, reliable, and aligned with business needs.

    Manage Capital Projects

    • Lead building and infrastructure projects from planning through completion.
    • Define scope, manage budgets and contractors, review designs, and ensure quality execution.
    • Deliver improvements that enhance reliability, reduce risk, and extend asset life.

Drive Asset Integrity & Risk Reduction

    • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and other stakeholders to proactively manage infrastructure risks.
    • Investigate recurring issues, identify root causes, and implement preventive solutions.
    • Support compliance with safety, building, and environmental requirements.

    Develop Long-Term Infrastructure Strategy

    • Create and manage multi-year capital improvement plans.
    • Prioritize investments based on asset condition, risk, and business value.
    • Establish infrastructure standards and support future facility planning.

    Success in This Role

    • Improved facility reliability and asset performance
    • Reduced emergency repairs and operational disruptions
    • Successful delivery of capital projects
    • Extended asset life and increased infrastructure value
    • Enhanced safety, compliance, and risk management
    • Stronger long-term capital and asset planning practices

What You'll Bring...

  • Requires one of the following:

    • Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of professional design or construction management experience,
    • Associate’s degree and twelve (12) years of professional design or construction management experience
  • 6+ years of experience in facilities engineering, construction, infrastructure, asset management, or related disciplines
  • Experience leading building, site, or infrastructure capital projects
  • Strong understanding of building envelope systems, construction methods, and asset lifecycle management
  • Experience evaluating facility conditions and developing capital improvement strategies
  • Proven ability to translate technical challenges into measurable business outcomes
  • Confident ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive leadership through concise, business-focused recommendations and presentations
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software
 Role Structure & Travel...
  • Preferred Location: Mason, MI
    • Remote role (U.S. based) - This position is available as a remote role in one of our approved locations*
  • Travel: Up to 50% (domestic & international)
    • Regular on-site engagement at our production locations
